The Head of Compliance and Quality Control will own and manage the regulatory obligations and quality standards for all distilled spirits activities across sales, marketing, and operations. BHAKTA Spirits is a global drinks and hospitality brand-building machine, embarking on a mission to help consumers "Find Their Spirit". Our fast-growing organization seeks a dynamic and experienced Head of Compliance to oversee our compliance and quality assurance initiatives within the distillery. This role is vital in ensuring that our products meet regulatory requirements and exceed quality expectations, reinforcing our brand's commitment to excellence. Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance:

Monitor and interpret local, state, and federal regulations, including the United States Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) and FDA requirements, ensuring adherence to all legal standards related to distilled spirits. Compliance Reporting:

Create and submit on time all TTB-required reports and tax returns. Permits and Label Approvals:

Submit applications and amend all permits or certificates of label approvals (COLA). Quality Control Management:

Develop and implement quality control processes and standards to ensure that all products meet internal and external quality benchmarks. Policy Development:

Create, update, and enforce compliance and quality control policies and procedures aligned with industry best practices and company objectives. Training and Education:

Design and conduct training programs for staff on compliance and quality standards, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Audits and Inspections:

Lead regular compliance audits and quality assessments, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring corrective actions are taken promptly. Collaboration:

Collaborate with the operation, sales, and marketing teams to integrate compliance and quality control throughout all stages of product development, production, sales, and marketing. Incident Management:

Oversee investigations into compliance or quality issues, coordinating with relevant parties and regulatory bodies as necessary. Data Analysis and Reporting:

Analyze compliance and quality control metrics/data and prepare reports for management. Continuous Improvement:

Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements, recommending and implementing improvements to compliance and quality processes. Liaison to TTB:

Clear all TTB-suggested improvements and serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day liaising with the TTB. State Registrations:

Oversee and keep up to date on all state registrations for all current products and any new releases. Qualifications

3 to 5 years of experience in compliance and quality control, ideally within the distilled spirits or beverage industry. Extensive knowledge of regulatory frameworks affecting the spirits industry, including TTB, FDA, and state regulations. Strong understanding of quality control principles and practices related to distilled spirits production. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail, capable of identifying trends and areas for improvement. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage and influence parties at all levels. Proven experience in managing teams and developing training programs. The ideal candidate must:
