Langan is seeking a Renewable Energy Practice Leader to serve a key function in continuing Langan’s strategic growth in the renewable energy market on a national level. In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner cross-functionally with leadership firm-wide, fueling a developing Renewable Energy practice on a diverse array of premier renewable energy projects. While the ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial demeanor, this individual will be provided robust resources for a successful integration and career with Langan, including support from and collaboration with multi-disciplinary leadership throughout the firm.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead multi-disciplinary efforts on a variety of project sites, with a focus on renewable energy projects, including the development, permitting, and construction oversight of renewable energy land development work;
Drive business development activities by developing new renewable energy clients for the firm and further strengthening relationships with existing clients;
Perform and manage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines;
Write and review draft proposals and reports, including feasibility studies, stormwater management reports, technical specifications, and utility reports; and
Supervise and mentor a team of technical staff working on a variety of renewable energy-related assessment, design, and permitting tasks.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred;
12+ years of experience developing, permitting, and overseeing the construction of renewable energy and/or linear infrastructure assignments;
7+ years of multidisciplinary Project Management experience;
Knowledge of land use processes and regulations; and,
Ability to perform limited travel to project sites.
Skills and Experience Preferred:
Valid Professional Engineer, Professional Geologist, Professional Wetland Scientist, or AICP license a plus;
Strong client development, client communication, client management abilities, and ability to develop new work;
Self-starter with the ability to manage, motivate, partner, mentor and lead others;
Demonstrated ability effectively managing projects from concept through construction documents;
Active participation in professional organizations;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical and proposal writing;
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities; and
Possessing a valid driver’s license in good standing is preferred.

Certain US jurisdictions require Langan to include an estimate of salary or hourly ranges. The estimated range for this role is: $112,500 - $250,000. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, location, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills. Certain roles may be eligible for overtime and participation in the firm's annual bonus and performance review program. Bonuses are discretionary and based on individual job performance and the profitability of the firm. Employees are also eligible to receive up to 20 days of paid vacation time, 10 days of paid sick time and 10 paid holidays throughout the year. Eligibility and actual paid time off may vary based on local law and factors such as hours worked, related work experience and level.
