The Opportunity

Bergdorf Goodman is seeking a passionate Associate Experience Supervisor to design, develop, and lead our associate engagement & experience strategy. Reporting to the Manager, Retail Operations, this role will serve as a cross-functional partner to various departments ensuring alignment between our cultural strategy, engagement initiatives, associate experience and business needs.

In this role, you will supervise a team focused on the Employee dining experience, guiding them to develop enrichment opportunities to enhance the overall associate experience. In addition, you will oversee the development and implementation of energizing and meaningful associate activations and engagement programs. You will establish the associate experience strategy in collaboration with various store leadership teams to design an integrated and meaningful associate experience resulting in improved satisfaction and increased retention.

Responsibilities & Duties

Lead the front-of-house employee café team to create the best possible employee experience (Director, Restaurants will manage menu and food options along with kitchen staff). Partner with Restaurant leadership to enhance the menu and provide seasonal options. Set the standards for hospitality, basic menu knowledge, service execution and communication, including setting weekly schedule and assigning areas of responsibilities to team members. Ensure shifts are run in a smooth manner, scheduling appropriate team coverage over peak times, and accounts for any unexpected problems or emergencies that may arise. Create and monitor employee satisfaction survey program to ensure café is meeting employee expectations. Work with the kitchen staff to ensure efficient flow of product to ensure an excellent employee experience. Accurately practice, execute, and enforce all BG initiatives and policies with improvement to quality, service, and operations and ensure employee compliance. Role model exceptional service and support the team at every level. Support the creation of programs, communication, and workplace experiences to enhance the associate lifecycle from onboarding to off-boarding along with critical touch points throughout such as engagement, recognition and wellbeing. Research best practices for engagement initiatives and continuously improve the effectiveness of our programs through relevant feedback and innovative techniques. Ensure cohesion between cultural survey results, associate feedback, recognition initiatives and associate to enable associate growth and energy. Partner with internal stakeholders to design associate engagement programs and activations that nurture a positive and energized workplace experience while optimizing productivity and realizing organizational goals. Monitor and evaluate the impact of engagement and experience initiatives by tracking key metrics and reporting outcomes to leadership.

Technical Qualifications

• 1-2 Years of management experience within the service industry.

• Acute attention to detail.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Ability to build authentic relationships and work collaboratively across teams and functions.

• Ability to prioritize, effectively managing multiple workstreams running simultaneously.

• Strong project management ability, seeing events through from conception to execution.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
