We are investing heavily in the healthcare industry by demonstrating our deep technical expertise to focus on making a global impact and filling a societal need which will improve the health experience for all.You will be part of the Analytics Transformation Services (ATS) team. You will work with a team of engineers in defining, designing, and delivering big data processing applications using latest technologies on OCI. You should be able to understand broad systems interactions, be hands-on, be able to dive deep into any part of the Health Data Intelligence platform and have a good sense of cloud infrastructure. You should value simplicity and impact, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn. Our senior engineers are also the people who can work independently and provide technical guidance to junior engineers. You should have experience developing and operating high-scale services that support big data processing (billions of records), and an understanding of how to make these cloud-scale services and workflows resilient. You understand operational excellence and know-how to infuse a culture of being proactive within your team. You recommend and justify major changes to new and existing products and establish consensus with data-driven approaches.ResponsibilitiesWhat You’ll Do:Design and build distributed, scalable, fault tolerant software components for Oracle Health Analytics platform on top of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).Build and support ETL pipelines using big data technologies like Oracle Data Flow/Apache Spark, Hadoop etc.Mentoring and developing other engineers on the team.Participate in the entire software development lifecycle – design, testing, CI/CD and production operations.Balance between product feature development and production operational concerns like writing run books, ops automation, structured logging, instrumentation for metrics and events.Leverage plethora of internal tooling at OCI to develop, build, deploy and troubleshoot software.Participate in on-call for the services within the team and resolve issues, when they arise.QualificationsBS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.You are proficient in one or more of Java, Scala, Python.You have prior experience working on distributed systems at a cloud service provider.You have prior experience in big data, Hadoop, AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI cloud-native distributed systems.You have prior experience in data warehouse (Verica, Snowflakes, Oracle ADW) schemas and implementations.You are experienced at building highly available services, possessing knowledge of common service-oriented design patterns and service-to-service communication protocols.You are familiar with components of modern infrastructure like service discovery, secret storage, software-defined networking, etc.You have experience with production operations and good practices for putting quality code in production and solve issues when they arise.Take initiative and be responsible for delivering complex software by working effectively with the team and other partners.You feel at home communicating technical ideas verbally and in writing (technical proposals, design specs, architecture diagrams and presentations).Oracle is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
