Design and Architecture:Design scalable and highly available RHDS solutions to meet organizational needsCreate and maintain RHDS architecture & relevant documentation to support & maintainDevelop strategies for directory tree structure, replication topology, and access controlImplementation and Maintenance:Install, configure, and maintain RHDS instances across multiple data centersSet up and manage multi-master replication for high availability and load balancingImplement and manage access controls, schemas, and password policiesPerform regular health checks and proactive maintenance tasksSupport and Troubleshooting:Provide tier 3 support for RHDS-related issuesTroubleshoot complex directory service problems, including replication conflicts, performance issues, and authentication failuresConduct root cause analysis and implement long-term solutionsPatching and Upgrades:Develop and execute patching strategies for RHDS instancesPlan and perform version upgrades with minimal service disruptionTest patches and upgrades in a staging environment before production deploymentDisaster Recovery and Backup:Design and implement backup and recovery procedures for RHDSDevelop and maintain disaster recovery plansRegularly test and refine recovery processesMonitoring and Performance Tuning:Implement comprehensive monitoring solutions for RHDS instancesAnalyze performance metrics and optimize directory server configurationConduct capacity planning and scaling activitiesIntegration and Interoperability:Work with other teams to integrate RHDS with various applications and systemsEnsure interoperability with other directory services and authentication systemsDevelop and maintain LDAP schemas to support application requirementsSecurity and Compliance:Implement and maintain security best practices for RHDSEnsure compliance with industry standards and internal security policiesConduct regular security audits and address any findingsAutomation and Scripting:Develop scripts and tools to automate routine RHDS tasksImplement configuration management for RHDS using tools like AnsibleCreate and maintain documentation for all scripts and automation processesKnowledge Sharing and Training:Provide training and mentoring to junior team membersCreate and maintain documentation for RHDS processes and proceduresStay updated with the latest developments in RHDS and related technologies
