Yes one day every weekendExperience: 1yr trainingEEG Technician RequirementsEducational BackgroundHigh school diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement).Completion of an EEG technologist program or an Associate's degree in neurodiagnostics, biology, or a related field (preferred).CertificationsRegistered EEG Technician (R. EEG T.) credential from ABRET (American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists).Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.ExperienceMinimum of 1-2 years of experience as an EEG Technician in a clinical or hospital setting (preferred).Familiarity with EEG equipment and software.Skills and CompetenciesStrong understanding of neurophysiology and EEG testing procedures.Ability to perform EEG tests (routine, ambulatory, and video EEG monitoring).Proficient in patient preparation, electrode placement using the 10-20 system, and troubleshooting technical issues.Excellent patient care skills and ability to work with individuals of all ages, including children.Knowledge of hospital policies, HIPAA regulations, and infection control practices.ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and specialized EEG tests under the supervision of a physician.Monitor patients during tests and note any clinical observations.Analyze and ensure the accuracy of test results before submitting them to the interpreting physician.Maintain and calibrate EEG equipment to ensure proper functioning.Prepare detailed and accurate reports on test results.Additional PreferencesExperience in long-term monitoring, ICU/EMU EEG studies, or intraoperative monitoring (preferred).Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients, families, and medical teams.About Bestica
