Join us as a Senior Network Engineer!

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the management, administration, installation, configuration and maintenance of the network equipment and infrastructure at BBH. The responsibilities also include assisting in the design and analysis of the network infrastructure for capacity planning and future developments. The Senior Network Engineer must be well versed with the advanced engineering and administration of multi-protocol routers, multilayer switches, network security devices and network management systems. S/he will participate in projects to deliver technology solutions, support current infrastructure by troubleshooting and resolving incidents. Overall, the goal for this position is to ensure the smooth operation of applications and systems to provide maximum performance and availability for users.

Key responsibilities include :

Participate in network engineering development from idea to plan, design, and integration for the relevant network environments to meet stakeholder requirements.Own the delivery of a variety of concurrent projects in varying scale.Work independently and as part of a team to train operations and deployment engineers on new network designs.Provide troubleshooting assistance/escalation to support teams, as needed, for critical production issues and incident management and reporting. Urgently analyze and troubleshoot production impacting issues.Assist with complex moves/adds/changes to the environment, as needed.Work with technology operations managers to develop trending analyses and eliminate recurring incidents.Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational, highly self-motivated, and capable of working under pressure. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, detail oriented.Create Process and documentation.Other Responsibilities :

Provide technical support for BBH's telecommunication network which includes Cisco routers, switches, monitoring and network related systems.Support the installation, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of network related equipment (hardware and software) with current and future developed applications/technology platforms.Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues by working on daily, weekly, monthly checklists and system health checks.Evaluate performance and capacity of environment to determine required configuration changes, upgrades, and feasibility of expanding or enhancing network related operations.Interact with carriers, voice, and collaboration product vendors to insure adequate service, support, and maintenance.Monitor and maintain equipment to insure non-interruption of service.Report and escalate any performance issues or outages to management.Liaise with vendors, other departments, and organizations. This would include issues involving proper system use, special requirements, and/or training needs.Install, configure, and maintain all network related equipment as required within offices and data centers.Develop and maintain accurate documentation for network related equipment and environment peripherals.Perform routine maintenance such as patching, software and firmware updates and backups for all network related systems.Education and Qualification Requirements:

B.S. in a technical field or a relevant combination of education and experience.5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including routers, switches, and monitoring applications.Expert understanding of IP routing, managing, troubleshooting and deployment of global architecture.Must demonstrate excellent knowledge in engineering standards, design, and maintenance best practices for enterprise networks including LAN/WAN, VoIP, Video and Wireless.Cisco platforms including but not limited Cisco ACI platform, Catalyst Switches, ASR Routers, and network management tools. Hands-on experience in Cisco Wireless deployment and troubleshooting.Extensive experience in routing (EIGRP, BGP, RIPv2 and OSPF), switching, provisioning, designing high availability operational environments and troubleshooting network related problems.Technical experience working with VPN technologies such as IPSEC and GRE, WAN optimization and acceleration technologies.Deep understanding of current 802.11x standards, 802.1x, and TCP/UDP/IP protocols.Detailed knowledge of network, transport and application protocols, BGP, MPLS, OSPF, 802.1Q, TCP/UDP, HTTP, FTP, DNS.Assist in the development of network implementation planning.Understanding of public clouds AWS, Azure.Expert level Knowledge of wireless technologies standards and protocols. Cisco WLAN and ISE specific experience desired.Proficiency with network management, monitoring and troubleshooting tools (sniffer, syslog, NetFlow, TCPDUMP, Wireshark).Hands-on experience in the use of protocol analysis tools for data packet inspection.Excellent communication and documentation skills and ability to work collaboratively with other infrastructure teams across the firm, globally. Manage multiple projects simultaneously and can adapt to changing business needs while resolving complex incidents.Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational, highly self-motivated, and capable of working under pressure. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, detail oriented.Working knowledge of ITIL processes, specifically Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management.
