How will you make an impact in this role?
As a Senior Engineer in the American Express Enterprise Cloud team, you will be part of Cloud migration and migration tool development projects whilst playing a key role in the enablement of solutions that power cloud native application patterns across American Express Technologies. You will partner closely with applications teams across the company to understand business critical, customer facing capabilities and provide first class cloud solutions that seek to tackle these challenges in a scalable, reusable manner.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field followed by 5 years of experience in a modern development stack (Java, Python, or Golang).
Experience in application design, software development, and testing, preferably in an Agile environment.
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDb, Couchbase, or Cassandra is a plus.
Experience designing and developing REST APIs for high volume clients.
Experience with continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Gitlab CI) a plus.
Experience with automated build and test frameworks a plus.
Aptitude for learning and applying new technologies and translate them into working software.
Experience with container and container orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, a plus.
Experience with collaboration tools (GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, etc.), a plus.
Strong ability to develop unique, outside the box ideas
Strong analytical, problem-solving/quantitative skills
Willing to take risks, experiment, and share fresh perspectives
Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external business partners.
Experience with leading mid size teams
Qualifications
Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually bonus benefits
