Are you passionate about the environment and ready to join an inclusive workplace, committed to leading innovative ideas and pathways, and to delivering value? If the answer is, "Yes!" then we have an exciting career opportunity for you.
Who are we? We are Montrose, a global environmental services provider offering environmental planning and permitting, measurement and analytical services, and environmental resiliency and sustainability solutions. Our qualified engineers, scientists, technicians, associates, and policy experts are proud of our collective expertise and the collaborative nature of our approach to helping clients.
Montrose's Advisory and Specialty Services Division supports clients across public and private sectors to meet their unique and complex environmental demands. Our experts take a strategic approach to address broader environmental goals from sustainability program development, data-driven decision-making using economics and ecology expertise, data management and validation, software strategy and implementation support, chemistry quality assurance, and EHSS (Environmental, Health, Safety, & Security) auditing.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
Our Principal/Senior Consultant - EHSS IT Data/Systems Management position is fully-remote and is within our EHS&S Management Information Solutions team whose mission is to provide quality work, respond quickly, and work effectively with supportive teams. This business line focuses solely on the strategy, selection, setup, and support of leading EHS & Sustainability information management systems to help our customers manage compliance, risk, and return value.
The job involves applying strong project delivery skills with experience in implementing commercial off-the-shelf systems and subject matter expertise in EHS & Sustainability. This includes a focus on air emissions, greenhouse gas, and sustainability (ESG), but also includes permit tracking, incident management, inspections, audits, observations, occupational health, control of work, etc. You will be responsible for technical leadership, development and application of data management processes and best practices, system architecture/design, and hands-on execution of EHSS IT projects.
In particular, we are seeking candidates with deep experience with emissions inventory management experience, ideally using commercial off-the-shelf systems.
This key role will be responsible for performing a full range of activities throughout a project cycle, including:
Work directly with clients to evaluate AS-IS processes, identify areas for improvement, develop TO-BE requirements, and document gaps.
Think critically about data management processes (collection, validation, disclosure, etc.), operational efficiency, and identify areas for continuous improvement.
Translate business requirements to technical and non-technical audiences.
Facilitate gathering of business requirements and translating them into easy-to-understand specifications used to set up COTS (commercial off the shelf software).
Help clients build Inventory Management Plans (air emissions and more) after helping define a vision, boundaries, and materiality.
