As the Facilities Engineering Director at JLL, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of facilities engineering operations across multiple client sites. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring the efficient and effective management of building systems, maintenance programs, and energy conservation initiatives. Your role will be crucial in maintaining high standards of facility performance, safety, and sustainability while optimizing operational costs.Your day-to-day tasks will include:
Developing and implementing comprehensive facilities engineering strategies aligned with client objectives and industry best practices.Managing a team of facilities engineers and technicians, providing leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.Overseeing preventive maintenance programs, equipment repairs, and system upgrades to ensure optimal building performance.Collaborating with clients to identify and implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainable solutions.Conducting regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.Analyzing facility performance data and preparing reports for senior management and clients.Managing budgets, forecasting expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.Coordinating with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely completion of projects and maintenance tasks.Staying updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in facilities engineering.Desired experience and technical skills:
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in facilities engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Professional Engineering (PE) license.Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.Proficiency in building automation systems and energy management software.Excellent project management and team leadership skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.LEED AP or other relevant sustainability certifications.Experience with smart building technologies and IoT applications in facilities management.Knowledge of energy modeling and building performance simulation tools.Familiarity with industry standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and OSHA regulations.Experience in managing facilities for diverse property types.Estimated total compensation for this position:
