Could you be the full-time onsite Human Resources Business Partner in Los Angeles, CA, US we're looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your extensive Human Resources expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside dedicated, supportive, and innovative teammates. You'll provide professional HR support to local business partners, ensuring adherence to company policy and deployment of Alstom HR initiatives, and help line managers develop their human relation skills to care for their teams. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (including Compensation & Benefits, Labor Relations, and Talent Development), plan and execute HR processes and procedures, and much more.
We'll look to you for:
Mobilizing and being part of the HR core team to support the operations team, including hiring and onboarding 250+ positions by June of 2025,
Planning and executing processes and procedures to ensure the success of mobilization as well as the success of the operations team,
Prioritizing and managing multiple tasks with critical timelines,
Being proximate to the business - both line managers and employees - to understand their issues and prepare HR actions to address them,
Understanding and prioritizing business needs, translating them into HR actions, and delivering on these,
Ensuring all policy and rules are followed according to the Delegation of Authority,
Advising, supporting, and influencing management on all HR-related issues, policies, and processes,
Implementing Business/Corporate/Group HR strategy as applies to the Region/Globally,
Assuring good Industrial Relations with unions and social partners in the country/scope.

Experience or understanding of HR operational aspects (Talent availability, Salary & Benefit, Legal/Labour Compliance, Social Context),
Knowledge of California legislation and its application in HR practices,
Familiarity with employment law issues, redundancies, payroll, and employee relations,
Experience in labor relations and working with unions,
A certification such as PHR or SPHR is preferred,
Proven ability to work within a fast-paced environment,
Leadership or managerial experience in Human Resources is a plus,
Experience supporting rail operations is highly desired,
Resilience and adaptability within a matrix organizational structure.
