DescriptionThe Director of Sales is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to achieve the company's revenue and growth objectives. This leadership role involves managing the sales team, building strong customer relationships, and working closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:1. Sales Strategy and Planning:Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the company's business goals.Conduct market research and analysis to identify new market opportunities and customer needs.Set annual, quarterly, and monthly sales targets and ensure they are met or exceeded.2. Team Leadership and Development:Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team.Provide leadership, direction, and support to the sales team to maximize performance.Establish performance metrics and conduct regular performance evaluations.3. Customer Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.Understand customer needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.Handle high-level customer negotiations and close key deals.4. Reporting and Analysis:Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management.Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.Adjust sales strategies based on performance analysis and market feedback.5. Product and Market Development :Work with product development teams to provide customer feedback and market insights.Participate in the development of new products and services.Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.Requirements

Education:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).Experience:Minimum of 7 years of sales experience in the manufacturing industry, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth.Skills and Competencies :Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.Ability to travel as required.Working Conditions:This role typically involves a combination of office work and travel to customer sites and industry events.The Director of Sales should be prepared to work extended hours as needed to meet sales targets and deadlines
