Position Purpose
Acting on own initiative, the Director Supply Chain Project Management is responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to identify key strategic initiatives and lead the resulting project management process. This position will ensure successful execution of major supply chain projects through project governance, resource management and key stakeholder management. The role is also responsible for maintaining a standardized approach for managing these projects with a defined scope to achieve business needs and goals, including a regular cadence of project progress reporting to all levels of the organization.
Functional Responsibility
Oversees, directs, and manages departmental activities and team performanceDrives and models company culture and holds self, peers, and direct reports accountable for demonstrating a constructive company culture through influential, personal behavior and actionsDevelops and implements clearly defined operational and individual goals to develop employees, achieve productivity levels, and to attain the company's strategic planResearches best practices, stays abreast of industry trends, and maintains awareness of regulatory changes to ensure compliance and continually improve operationsExecutes departmental financial objectives by preparing budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actionAchieves departmental results to ensure the effective delivery of the strategic planDevelops staffing needs; attracts, motivates, and retains a workforce with the appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities to achieve goals and objectivesPromotes and ensures a safe and healthy work environment for all employeesLeads the way and prepares departmental staff for success in a continually changing environmentFosters a work environment that encourages creative thinking, promotes flexibility, and drives innovationAddresses employee issues, concerns, and complaints in an objective and confidential manner; notifies HR Business Partner and keeps immediate manager informed as appropriateEnsures compliance and consistent application of company policies, initiatives, and decisionsCoaches, guides, and develops direct reports; fully engages in the GPS (Performance Management) process; provides high-quality feedback, and ensures proper GPS documentation of employee performance, recognition, and deficiencies
Essential Duties
Manages major and complex project portfolio with regular progress reporting; develops and leads the process for cross functional resource requests and project approvalDefines scope of work in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders; tracks project milestones and deliverables, prepares project reviews and adjusts plans as required; ensures escalation of all issues for resolutionProactively assists key stakeholders in addressing resource constraints to build a project plan that meets plan and financial requirements; evaluates and prioritizes the most important projects to maintain business growthProvides guidance and training on project management process to cross functional stakeholders; facilitates project management meetings productively to drive action and efficiencies on a routine basisIdentifies potential risks involved in project execution and develops plans to mitigate risks where possibleDevelops and refines project tools by soliciting input from customers on project requirements and provides feedback on milestones and scope changes or issue resolutionLeads project management for onboarding new winery partners and new business integrationDevelops project communication and change management plans to ensure collaboration and a constructive environment for all parties involved during implementation of new assets, systems, processes or infrastructureInfluences and leads others within the cross functional teams to meet quality standards and drive efficiency, keeping projects on track and delivering a high level of customer satisfactionMaintains process metrics to ensure projects deliver the desired benefit and conducts project debrief assessments with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement; creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation, adhering to all corporate policiesContributes to supply chain planning that is in line with company priorities and serves as a key collaborator with Supply Chain, Winemaking, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Marketing, HR, IS and SalesLeads efforts in cost and complexity reduction, facilitates process mapping and Kaizen activities and identifies improvement opportunities via ad hoc analysis and insightEnsures alignment with IS, Life Cycle Management and other corporate projects
Minimum Requirements
Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field; MBA highly desirable10 years' experience leading large-scale cross-functional projects in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain or other related fieldStrong analytical skills with prior hands-on experience are preferredCPG experience, with preference for Food & Beverage industry experience preferred
Certificates and LicensesPMP Certification (Project Management Professional) preferredLean/Continuous improvement certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExceptional influencing capability with the ability to manage cross-functional resources and work with different personalities and stylesExcellent oral and written communication skills - both formal and informal with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organizationExcellent problem solving and project management skillsAdvanced technology application skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, project management software and ERP (SAP preferred)Strong curiosity and drive for improvement and attention to detail

typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
