Overview

Stryten Energy manufactures proprietary and custom injection molding products serving the industrial lead battery, automotive and consumer markets. Stryten Energy is expanding battery poly manufacturing and recycling output to help solve industry-wide supply constraints.

Lead the effort to maximize output of quality, time and materials required to change, repair, build tools and repair molds.

This is a 1st shift (7:00am - 3pm) position.

The pay rate for this position is $35.00/hour.

Responsibilities

Safety is our overriding priority. If an unsafe condition is found to exist, actions must be taken immediately to correct the situation to keep all team members safe and get manufacturing equipment operational as soon as possible.Hands on approach of all activities of the shift to ensure best practices are taking place to resulting in quality of work, maximize output, reduce errors.Must be able and willing to work alongside of team members.Review daily tooling requests, both new and completed; process mold movement requests; ensure strong communication to all internal customers.Champion the management of the in-house Kanban system for tooling inventory.Will help manage discretionary spending, propose, and help implement improvements that will reduce cost and increase output.Continuously improve the general housekeeping, organization of equipment, tools, and supplies to keep workstations as efficient as possible.Review work areas for safety compliance and safe working conditions; investigate, document, and report each incident according to procedure.Interact closely with engineering, trouble shoot, review mold design practices and sampling of new product; involved with the quoting costing of projects both internal and outside customers; responsible for tracking and monitoring quoted projects thru tool room and bring to light with your direct leader any findings to the contrary.Good communication with process engineering to work on improving molding thru tooling improvements and processing; diagnose/trouble shoot and help/implement corrections to tooling problems with other facilities.Must complete all required hazardous waste training and comply with all Stryten hazardous waste and handling procedures.Attend all meetings as scheduled and training sessions.Follow all ISO 9001 requirements, ongoing review of procedures, update as required to simplify and streamline instructions.Other responsibilities as assigned to meet the needs of the business.Assist in the training of new Tool Room team members and give accurate and timely feedback to leader on potential issues or outside training needs for the Tool Room team.

Qualifications

Minimum five (5) years' experience in injection molding toolroom or related field or equivalent combination of relevant education and work that will allow successful performance of job expectations.

Must function well in a team environment and must communicate well with others.

Must be able to troubleshoot and repair molds as needed.

Good attendance and performance work history.

Motived self-starter that can productively work alone and in groups to solve problems.

Must have proven mechanical ability.

Must complete a forklift driving training program.

Must learn proper lifting skills of up to 10,000 lbs. with a forklift or crane.

Must complete a Lock Out/Tag Out training program.

Must have the ability and willingness to work as needed/required to complete required work and communicate with other shifts.
