Travel RN-OR Director Must have a current RN Texas license. • BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required. CNOR and TNCC is desirable. • Membership in a professional organization is desirable. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the administrative, legal and ethical (mission, vision, and values) requirements/objectives of the organization. 2. Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, utilizing benchmarking data to achieve higher levels of performance and quality control objectives. 3. Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives. 4. Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits. 5. Maintains staffing as volumes change and works to identify opportunities to modify systems and processes to further improve quality or reduce cost. 6. Directs and oversees program development, performance management, personnel activities, budget, and the provision of services. Works to ensure effective physician and staff relations. 7. Oversees department operations. 8. Demonstrates effective communication, consultation, negotiation, and collaboration skills with members of the perioperative team and interdisciplinary team members. 9. Attends and participates in required Nursing Service committees and meetings. 10. Develops and empowers management teams to lead daily operations, resolve issues, manage employee performance, manage physician relations, ensure high quality patient care and service excellence, and ensure operational efficiencies. 11.
