What you will do
The Channel Development Specialist proactively maintains ongoing relationships with key customers and sales staff, supporting the sales process with issues identification and resolution, marketing communications, training, data analysis and reporting, etc.
The Inside Sales Associate will report to the Senior Sales Manager for Ducted Systems Parts business and will interact extensively with the DS Parts Customer Service, Marketing, Materials Management, Operations, and Warranty Administration teams and with the DS equipment sales team(s) for their assigned channel(s). The Channel Development Specialist will proactively identify parts sales opportunities within their base and work with the Channel Sales Manager in helping to secure these opportunities.
How you will do itProactively maintain positive, personal relationships with customers and internal staff.
Regularly contact customers to support customer parts goal achievement, identify and develop sales opportunities, and resolve service issues.
Create and distribute frequent customer-facing communications and occasional presentation materials.
Follow up with customers on sales and marketing initiatives.
Train customers on system tools (esp. Parts Navigator and Order Navigator applications).
Fulfill occasional field requirements for customer-specific ad-hoc sales and performance reporting, recommended to stock lists, marketing collateral materials, etc.
Periodically review open order reports and otherwise proactively identify and resolve issues before they are raised by customers.
Occasional travel (What we look forRequiredHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience and a proven track record of accomplishment in inside sales or customer support roles.
Ability to calculate discounts and margins, to apply concepts of basic algebra, and to solve practical problems.
Effective interpersonal skills and perseverance under stress.
PreferredWorking experience with OpenGlobe (Salesforce), email marketing, social media marketing, e-commerce, SAP operating system.
Familiarity with two-step distribution in HVAC or a related trade, preferably including repair parts and warranty experience.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree.
