The Director of EHS has been handling the Sustainability and this is a newly created role to allow an individual to fully have ownership of the Sustainability Program. The ideal candidate will have 5-10+ years of experience in a true Sustainability role and will come from the Manufacturing or Life Sciences industry. This will be a hybrid role - 3-4 days a week on site.DescriptionThe Sustainability Manager - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:Drive environmental, social and governance initiatives to meet sustainability goals.Lead and facilitate the Global Sustainability Ambassador network to ensure engagement and collaboration through various functionsManagement and validation of environmental, social and governance global data.Act as Project Manager in drafting Annual Sustainability ReportAct as Subject Matter Expert for sustainable and responsible procurement, facilities sustainability, and renewable energy among other topics.Facilitate life cycle analysis / carbon footprint studies for extensive product offerings. Partner with both product development teams and customers in minimizing in these efforts.Support development of key relationships in our supply chain to help identify pathways of ESG improvement.Manage customer sustainability surveys and questionnairesWork with site operational leaders in the implementation of water / energy / waste reduction projects.Provide expertise on bench marking, share industry best practices and standards, and consumer expectations to ensure goals and initiatives are aligned to business value.Drive the business to move from ambition to execution by finding opportunities to integrate sustainability into processes, programs and decision making.ProfileThe ideal Sustainability Manager - Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental, Sustainability, Engineering, Business Administration/Finance, or a related fieldMasters preferred in Sustainability or a related field but not required5-10+ years of experience with at least 2 in a true Sustainability based roleManufacturing or Life Sciences industry experience preferredStrong Communication Skills - will be presenting to shareholders, leadership, and different plantsAny additional experience in a Finance or Engineering role will be helpful for this positionExperience with SDG Reporting protocols including Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) preferredAbility to be on site 3-4 days a weekAbility to travel to different plants as needed - less than 25%Job OfferThe successful Sustainability Manager - Manufacturing will be rewarded with the following:Base Salary of $100,000-$160,000 depending on experienceBonus of 10-15%6% Match on 401K4-5 weeks of PTOVery strong medical, dental, and vision benefitsRelocation Package if neededetc.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
