We are partnered with a leading renewable energy product supplier to hire a regional sales leader.
TheWest Coast Sales Manager is a key driver responsible for developing meaningful opportunities to grow the US utility, developer and IPP storage market and deploy energy solutions in the western US states. With a mature network in the Utility, IPP and Developer market and expertise in full cycle sales, the successful candidate will prospect, engage, close and execute agreements using their expert power industry knowledge. Will develop and execute a business plan for sales to utilities, independent power producers, developers, and other core customers, leveraging one’s network and selling large scale projects to target customers. Is an exceptional team player. Region assigned is defined as Western U.S. states and territories located in the Pacific Time Zone Region, remote position, preference of remote base is California
What you’ll be doing:
Identify key opportunities in assigned region; drive adoption and acceptance of our Storage products and services.
Execute sales plan to penetrate target accounts at all levels
Collaborate with appropriate constituents to support and engage customers
Support sales forecasting, pipeline, and RFI activities, and provide timely updates
Deliver budgetary & fixed proposals for customers
Support contract negotiations and close transactions
Liaise between customers and Sales Engineering
Maintain keen awareness of competitor products and offerings that enable continued differentiation and new product development
Represent Trina Storage at industry conferences, tradeshows, and other
Fully support the transition from sales to program management and customer support teams
Your qualifications:
10+ years’ progressive experience selling complex technical systems and solutions
Keen understanding of the electric and energy storage industries required
Renewable energy experience desirable including selling/support/working with Lithium Ion batteries or relevant storage technologies
Team-oriented approach with an eagerness to continuously collaborate and support
Demonstrated track record of exceptional problem solving and strategic thinking
Exceptional communication skills - listening, verbal, and written; strong presentation skills
Active experience managing key customer relationships with the proven ability to close deals
Prior experience working with Utilities, Microgrid solution providers, Developers, IPPs, Integrators, OE, IE and EPC firms
Solid understanding of relevant industry codes and regulatory requirements, preferred
Working knowledge of MS applications such as Excel, Word, and PP; as well as CRM systems such as Salesforce, and/or QuickBASE
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time; travel will fluctuate between 25-50%
