Job Description
A hands-on HR Manager with thorough working knowledge of current practices in the administration of HR policies, including: HRIS, training and development, benefits, compensation administration, performance review processes, performance management, succession planning, proactive employee relations, issue investigation and resolution, and talent acquisition
Act as primary liaison for Employee Relations to remedy employee issues, investigate and resolve workplace concerns and work with legal counsel when necessary.
Responsible for HR strategy and budget including creation, presentation to executive management and execution upon approval.
Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local legal requirements for existing and new legislation, enforce adherence and advise management to ensure company compliance.
Provide training and development required to support HR and the business strategy.
Manage HR data and ensure availability for federal and state reports, executive management teams, and corporate reporting
Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures, maintains employee handbook
Conducts annual employee engagement surveys and facilitates follow-up actions with the goal of positively impacting culture.
Prepare and maintain employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentially. i.e.: unemployment claims, verifications, I9 status and State regulations
Assist employees with benefits, FMLA and ADA related needs
Supports compensation and performance evaluation programs
Coordinates company wellness program and events
Performs other duties as required and assigned

5+ years of human resources experience in benefits, recruiting, employee relations, performance management and/or compensation
This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
In depth knowledge of various HRIS systems (Workday, ADP and Oracle preferred)

Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
Strong working knowledge of employment regulations
HRIS experience as a user, ADP and Oracle preferred
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and other applicable database programs
SPHR, PHR or SHRM CP preferred
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Effective communication skills, oral and written
Effectively communicate with people in potentially stressful situations
Maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Ability to consistently meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines
Ability and willingness to learn company policies/procedures and benefits programs
Strong organizational skills
Experience managing Human Resources for a federal contracting organization
Thorough knowledge and understanding of U.S. labor and employment laws and compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations

Works in an office environment with little or occasional light physical effort
Works on a computer, requiring the ability to view a monitor for long periods of time
