Position SummaryAt Stony Brook Medicine, an Inventory Control Assistant - Instructional Support Assistant is a valuable member of our team, who provides administrative and executive support and has the ability to interface with all levels of management throughout the hospital.Qualified candidates will demonstrate superior patient care and possess outstanding communication skills while adhering to our high standard of excellence.Duties of an Inventory Control Assistant - Instructional Support Assistant may include the following, but are not limited to:- Primary responsibility is to par all inventory cabinets in an accurate and timely manner. Must be organized and precise.- Receive, unbox and scan inventory into Q Sight.- Monthly checks for expired/near expired inventory. Notify Inventory Manager of these findings.- Inventory knowledge for location, conversions and substitutions.- Communicates inventory needs with Nursing and Rad Tech staff.- Maintain clean and organized store rooms in Invasive Cardiology.- All other duties as assigned.QualificationsRequired Qualifications: Associate's degree and at least 1 year of healthcare administrative experience or, in lieu of a degree, a High School diploma and at least 3 years of healthcare administrative experience. Medical/Hospital inventory experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications.Preferred Qualifications: Lawson experience.Special Notes: Resume/CV and cover letter should be included with the online application.Posting Overview: This position will remain posted until filled or for a maximum of 90 days. The specific salary offer will be based on the candidate's validated years of comparable experience.
