Software Development Engineer in Test (Senior Level)

Job Summary: Alcor is looking for a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and a passion for quality assurance. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test frameworks and ensuring the reliability and performance of our software applications. Key Responsibilities: Test Automation Development: Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts like Selenium, JUnit, Testing Framework Development: Create and enhance test frameworks to support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and QA teams to understand requirements and provide feedback on design and architecture. Test Planning: Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies to ensure quality standards are met for new and existing features. Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects using tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla and ensure timely resolution. Performance Testing: Conduct performance and load testing to ensure system scalability and reliability. Code Review: Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices in testing and software development. Documentation: Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and reports. Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and technologies to improve testing processes and tools. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 7 to 10 years of experience in software development and testing, preferably in an SDET role. Strong programming skills in languages like Java, C#, Python. Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks like Selenium, Cucumber, Appium. Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI. Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner. Knowledge of API testing and tools like Postman, SoapUI. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure and microservices architecture.
