We are seeking a 4+ year insurance defense litigation associate to join out Fort Lauderdale team handling 3rd party property cases, premises liability cases and PIP. Other areas of insurance defense are welcome in addition to these core areas.

This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility of both remote and in-office work. The successful candidate will be part of our dynamic legal team, working closely with our clients to provide expert legal advice and representation in all matters related to insurance defense. This includes personal injury protection (PIP), premises liability, first/third-party claims, and litigation. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role. Responsibilities: Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in civil litigation. Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations. Interpret laws, rulings and regulations for individuals and businesses. Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts. Gather evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case. Negotiate settlements of civil disputes. Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law. Act as agent, trustee, guardian, or executor for businesses or individuals. Present and summarize cases to judges and juries. Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases. Supervise legal assistants.Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Must be an active member in good standing with the Florida State Bar. Minimum 4+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation. Proven experience in personal injury protection (PIP), premises liability, first/third party claims, and litigation. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, capable of maintaining professional demeanor in high-stress situations. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases. Excellent negotiation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in legal research and writing. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite and legal research platforms. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong commitment to client service and demonstrated ability to manage and build client relationships. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
