The University of Miami Health System, "UHealth", Information Technology Department has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Systems Administrator.The Systems Administrator maintains and administers computer networks and equipment to ensure optimal performance in and fast recovery from emergency situations. The incumbent ensures effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software, and related infrastructure.Core Responsibilities:Monitors system logs and activity on all servers.Replaces defective hardware on clients and servers.Installs, maintains, and updates project and task tracking tools.Manages Windows account maintenance, including additions, changes, and removals.Maintains integrity of Windows accounts and data on the enterprise’s file server.Manages Windows security features to protect confidential information while allowing appropriate access.Researches, installs, and tests software updates and patches to support applications and various operating systems.Researches new technologies and presents recommendations on major hardware and software purchases for the enterprise.Updates software and hardware inventory and documents any changes to either.Provides training and opportunities for learning Windows systems to all enterprise employees and consultants.Develops, supports, and maintains Windows file and print servers for all clients.Provides scripting and programming support to all major projects within the enterprise.Develops and maintains service level agreements with the various user departments and enterprise business units.Prepares and monitors budgets for each area of functional responsibility.Works closely with others within the IT function to define metrics, which are used to measure and communicate the efficiency and effectiveness of the Windows operating environment.Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.Department Specific Functions:Responsibility as a CMMS administrator updates the medical equipment inventory, including oversight of Preventive Maintenance requirements, schedules, and procedures.Develops workflow standardization with department leaders, reviews and leads efforts for systems data integrity and standardizations, and implements solutions to address issues or changes for Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Real-Time Location Systems (RTLS).Acts as contact point with IT regarding system downtime.Provides technical support services.Provides project management services and support.Follows IT project management protocol.Advocates user perspective and focuses on ensuring a comprehensive support plan and documentation.Works with end users to navigate the project request process.Ensures compliance with IT, University of Miami, UHealth, Joint Commission, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act guidelines, policies, and procedures.Responsible for the medical equipment inventory data integrity verification in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) database.Assists with the inventory, labeling, and record creation of medical equipment supporting the technical staff.Assists with the creation of dashboards and KPI reports.Attends, participates in, and conducts department and administrative meetings, as required.Develops and maintains centralized regulatory resource reference library of medical equipment Original Equipment Manufacturer manuals.Manages the Clinical Engineering testing, diagnostic, and measurement equipment (TMDE) inventory.Coordinates the annual calibration of TMDE and uploads calibration certificates to the CMMS.Assists the Clinical Engineering staff to search for Unable to Locate (UTL) devices.Assists with special projects as required.Identifies and reports general compliance issues that may arise through the work process.Generates purchase order requisitions as required.Assists in the management of the recall alerts program.Manages the department vehicle fleet.Manages the Real Time Location Systems (RTLS) database.Oversees the assets data linked to service agreements for accuracy.Remains current on CMMS and RTLS new version training for all applicable system certifications (if applicable).Works with the team to continuously drive improvements and implement corrective actions when necessary.Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials as needed for proper use of CMMS, RTLS, etc.Other duties as assigned.CORE QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.Lean/Six Sigma yellow belt or above, preferred.Smartsheet certification, preferred. Smartsheet certification is required within the first year of employment.Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.Commitment to the University’s core values.Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.Job Status:
