We were recognized as one of Glassdoor’s “Best Places to Work”.About the RoleIt is the responsibility of the Manager of Licensing to assist with the administration and continued development of BetMGM’s licensing program. The position will interact with vendors and employees from various departments to ensure the company is fully compliant with regulatory licensing obligations while being responsible for a team of direct reports.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for managing the creation and implementation of processes and procedures related to licensing as dictated by the regulatory requirements of each jurisdiction within which the company operates;Set strategic vision, long term goals, and objectives for the licensing team, in direct partnership with the Director of Licensing;Maintain full-cycle leadership of the due diligence function of the licensing team; including coaching, mentoring, and performance management;Advise internal stakeholders and vendors on licensing requirements across jurisdictions, acting as the primary point of contact for vendor procurement process;Monitor, maintain and further develop vendor licensing program;Review licensing and reporting requirements in controls and regulations;Maintain frequent and professional communication with gaming regulatory bodies.QualificationsBachelor’s degree or related experience required;J.D. strongly preferred;At least 5 years of regulatory compliance/licensing experience with 3+ years of leadership experience;Previous experience in a highly regulated environment; gaming industry preferred;Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment, ability to deal effectively with management, employees, regulatory agencies and professional advisors;Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts;Highly organized with superior attention to detail;Strong written and verbal communication skills;Must be able to stand or sit, and operate computers and other technological devices for extended periods of time.The annual salary range for this position is $102,960 to $135,135. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for participation in a performance-based bonus plan.
Gaming Compliance & Licensing Requirements
As an online gaming company, BetMGM is required to comply with state gaming regulations which includes licensing obligations. Applicable employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency, although certain positions require licensing by multiple agencies. Failure to become licensed or maintain licensure with each agency as required for the role may result in termination of employment. Please note that the licensing process includes comprehensive background checks which may include a review of criminal records, financial history, and personal background verification.
