The Opportunity:In this role, you will report to the Area Operations Manager and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.Hours: 1st shift Monday – Friday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)Pay: $26.00/hr. In this role you will:Facilitate orders for consumable lab inventory replenishment, including entering them into computer systemsReceive inbound shipments from UPS, FedEx, and other common carriers, resolving any shipping errors.Manage customer inventory, including delivery of product replenishment, requiring driving between facilities.Perform various inventory management tasks such as monitoring slow-moving and dead stock, conducting cycle counting, and yearly inventories.Coordinate shipping activities, including answering customer calls and handling routine issues.Utilize Avantor and customer computer systems for job duties.Meet safety, performance, and quality goals and objectives.Handle hazardous materials and prepare shipping documentation and packaging requirements.Carry out basic tasks at multiple customer sites within a region.Perform any other assigned duties as required.Disclaimer:The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
