Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a Cancel and DNR BLACK OUT DATES FOR HOLIDAY RTO: 12/20/2024 - 01/05/2025; HARD STOP, NO EXCEPTIONS Job Requirements Minimum Years of Experience: 2 year Experience Traveler Experience: Unit Will Accept 1st Time Travelers Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes Skills: Vents, IV Start, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Continuous IV sedation, CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drains (EVD), ICP Monitoring, Post Neurosurgery management, Care of Ventilated Patient, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Lumbar Drain experience & Arterial Line Management Strong Neuro experience, MUST BE 2 YEARS, NO LESS INTERNAL NOTES Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for, this specialty MUST have 2 YEARS in NEURO ICU, IF NOT PLEASE REDIRECT STRONG Neuro Critical Care Background, not just general ICU. If they do not have, PLEASE DO NOT SEND Schedule Information RATIOS: Ratios 2:1 (can flex up to 3:1 in high census and nurse must be comfortable with this if needed). Average Daily Census 11-12 SHIFT: 36 Hours Can Be Offered Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the Unit through the Holidays 12 HOUR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15 RTO: 7 days MAX for Aya Auto Offer Call Requirement: NONE Float Requirement: YES Weekend Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKEND Unit Specific Information Patient population: strokes (ischemic, hemorrhagic [SAH]), SDH, craniotomies, carotid stents, carotid endarterectomies, aneurysm coiling/clipping, seizures, Depth electrodes, myasthenia gravis. Drains used: EVDs, LDs, hemovacs, Camino (ICP monitoring) Special Procedures / Unit Details: Comprehensive Stroke Center Scheduling Type: Per the Unit Needs UNIT ORIENTATION: 24.0 Hours; 2 days or 2 nights SCRUBS: Navy blue & White. Additional Details AHA or American Red Cross Only. AHA-RQI and AHA instructor cards are acceptable. PER DIEM - Required for Telephone Triage/Call Center
