Materials Handler
will be responsible for unloading product deliveries, staging products based on company needs and assisting with organizing and maintaining existing inventory. This role reports to the QA Manager and is based out of our Springdale, Arkansas location.Shift: 2BWednesday 12am-6amThursday-Saturday 6pm-6amSunday-Tuesday OffPrimary Responsibilities include :Loads and unloads material within the warehouse facilityUtilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks within the warehouseRecords flow information of materials and productsHas knowledge of standard practices and proceduresRelies on limited experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goalsAccountable for food safety, food quality and regulatory requirements for their positionEncouraged to notify management about actual or potential food safety issuesAdopt and maintain all SQF requirements for their positionEmpowerment to work with supervision to resolve food safety and food quality issues within their scope of workThis role will be required to taste test product as needed, up to a couple ounces per test.Performs other related duties as required and assignedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required Qualifications3-5 years of related experience.A high school diploma or equivalentForklift experience 1-2 yearsMust be detailed oriented and can multi-taskMust have excellent time management skillsAdditional Preferred QualificationsExperience in the food/beverage industry (a plus)Previous experience in Manufacturing or production environment (a plus)Ability to direct, coach and train others.Consultative, influential, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONSThis position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a production setting.FREQUENT:
Ability to talk and hear; ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; use of hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment and all manual and electronic equipment in area of responsibility. Exposure to wet and humid conditions and fluctuations in ambient temperature (seasonal).OCCASIONAL:
Squatting, kneeling, ability to reach above and at shoulder height. Ability to wear a dust mask, and perform Confined Entry using LOTO program.
