group of companies and share a passion for developing technologies that help keep our oceans healthy and secure.About the role:The Director of Sales and Marketing fills a critical leadership role within SRS, responsible for driving revenue growth, enhancing the brand's market presence, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, leadership, strong interpersonal skills, and a deep understanding of sales and marketing dynamics. The Director significantly contributes to SRS's overall success and profitability by effectively developing strategic sales and marketing plans and building strong customer relationships.What we are looking for in you:The ideal candidate for this role will be a dynamic leader who can drive revenue growth and enhance our market presence. They will play a pivotal role in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies that align with our goals while building and maintaining strong customer relationships. Success in this role requires a blend of leadership, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to navigate the complexities of the underwater marine technology sales landscape. The ideal candidate will have the experience, education, and interpersonal skills to ensure our continued growth and profitability. Prior knowledge and experience with FUSION or similar platforms would be highly advantageous.Duties and Responsibilities:Strategic Planning: Developing comprehensive sales and marketing strategies that align with the company's overall business goals. This involves analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.Team Leadership: Leading and managing sales and marketing teams to achieve targets. This includes hiring, training, and motivating team members to perform at their best.Budget Management: Allocating and managing budgets for various sales and marketing activities, ensuring resources are used efficiently and effectively.Sales Oversight: Directing all sales activities, setting sales targets, and monitoring performance. They are responsible for ensuring that sales goals are met or exceeded.Marketing Campaigns: Overseeing the creation and implementation of marketing campaigns to boost brand awareness and generate leads. This involves coordinating with creative teams to ensure consistent messaging across channels.Performance Analysis: Monitoring and analyzing the effectiveness of sales and marketing strategies, using data-driven insights to make informed decisions and adjustments.Customer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining solid relationships with key clients and partners to foster loyalty and increase sales opportunities.Provide FUSION operator training, demonstrations, and support for new and existing SRS clients. This requires frequent national and international travel.Continuously grow and maintain an intimate knowledge of customers, their missions, and how our products are utilized.Work with Engineering and Operations teams to ensure all training materials are up to date and include newer software and hardware capabilities as they are developed.Provide in-house FUSION operator training as needed.Operate SRS’ Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RHIB) and exercise the FUSION system in varying sea state and environmental conditions.Ensure that all team members adhere to the company’s quality assurance program.Develop training courses, customer support processes, and after-after-market sales strategies.Support program management and the development of proposals, requirements analysis, technical bulletins, and application notes.Other duties as assigned.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, science, or relevant work experience.Technical sales and business development experience.A minimum of ten years of relevant work experience is required.Physical Requirements:Be able to lift and transport up to 65 lbs.Can work in varying sea states and environmental conditions on small boats and other surface support vessels.Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.Ability to be mobile as related to business needs.Full-time in-office position, San Diego, CA.Regular domestic and international travel is required.Valid passport for international travel.Reliable means of transportation to report to work.
