Seattle Office601 Union StSte 3100Seattle, WA 98101, USAThe Treasury Management (TM) Sales Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the Treasury Management Officer (TMO) and Treasury Management Associate (TMA) team in directing TM sales activities to develop new TM business while expanding existing business/client relationships. This role ensures its team's proficiency with TM bank and ancillary products while providing functional supervision and delegation of various tasks to direct reports. Will play a key role in formulating strategic TM plans, evaluating team performance, and addressing potential needs and/or opportunities for direct reports to enhance overall performance within TM business development. Will represent TMOs with Product and Strategy, Commercial Services and other appropriate Enterprise business units.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSBusiness Development:Leads team, provides structure and oversight to TM reviews with client, sales presentations of TM solutions and ancillary products, explains services offered and recommends those services that will be most efficient and cost effective for the client and prospects.Coordinates collaborations with Commercial Banking and Small Business Relationship Managers and Retail Division to help ensure an integrated and team approach to both prospecting and client retention efforts.Provides TM education and resources to Commercial and Small Business Banking Relationship Managers and Retail Division on an ongoing basis to ensure widespread knowledge of TM products from a feature and functionality perspective. Directs periodic group presentations, one-on-one consultations, and input to reference and marketing materials.Prepares and executes annual sales plan to increase non-interest revenue and core deposits.Establishes communication and calling plan to maintain excellent client relationships.Keeps abreast of new products, methods/techniques, key industry trends, conditions and changes in laws and regulatory policies.Responsible for discussing pricing of TM products with client where appropriate.Oversees risk assessments associated with TM solutions and advises Commercial and Small Business Banking Relationship Managers on such risk.Ensures an effective working relationship with other Bank personnel as required to perform client support and sales functions.Takes a leadership role in community affairs and activities when warranted for effective business development and community exposure.Maintains proficiency regarding current Bank and Divisional policies and procedures.Maintains proficiency regarding current Bank systems and software applications.Regular, reliable attendance is required.Managerial and Administrative Functions:Oversee a team of Treasury Management Officers and Associates, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure the achievement of sales targets and departmental goals.Coordinates the periodic reporting of competitor pricing and market feedback on TM products to Product & Strategy.Partners with bank resources defining risk, structure and adhering to processes that protect our customer and bank.Conducts a formal performance review at least annually with each subordinate.Makes recommendation to bank leadership on the future of TM, market support and competition to ensure a modern sales TM program.Understands and supports bank compliance, operational risk, and policies tied to the TM product suite and processes.Is a thought leader with complex customers, verticals and solutions.Provides functional supervision and delegates tasks to TM reports, i.e., completion of various reports, profit planning, etc.Participates in formulating short and long-range team plans and evaluating the team organization structure and operating procedures.Identifies TM team training needs/opportunities and addresses those gaps and/or needs.Actively supports the Bank’s Affirmative Action goals.Leads and participates in community affairs and activities.Perform compliance and risk management duties.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred or equivalent experience in related field.5+ years’ work experience in Treasury Relationship Management, or related field.Strong working knowledge of Bank products and services.Proven analytical skills; ability to review and interpret complex data (determining risk, assessing complexity of accounts, etc.)Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to analyze, synthesize and articulate complex ideas and communicate such to colleagues, team members, and clients.Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with and work effectively with diverse groups of people, managing conflict, negotiating for results and developing working relationships with potential and current clients.High degree of PC based technical skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Suite of products.Ability to set and achieve challenging goals.Compensation:
$154,301 - $231,527The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position located in Seattle, Washington. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
