Description & Requirements
Maximus is seeking an experienced Red Hat Enterprise Linux Admin to join our team. As a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Admin, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the RHEL infrastructure. Your role will involve overseeing system administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and ensuring the stability, security, and performance of the RHEL environment.

Specific Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain the RHEL-based server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and patch management.
Work on RHEL 7.x/8.x and perform system administration, which includes installation, configuration, and maintenance.
Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Perform system backups and recovery processes to ensure high availability and data protection.
Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions to meet business requirements and enhance the RHEL server environment.
Create and maintain documentation related to system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Perform vulnerability scans using common scanning tools such as Tenable, Hp WebInspect, and others.
Investigate security breaches, risks, and attacks; create mitigation plans and implement both proactive and retrospective solutions.
Requirements:
Active Secret clearance is required.
Due to agency and contract requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens with no dual citizenship.
This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime. Candidates must be willing and able to meet recall requirements, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule, if required.
Telework: Candidates must reside within a commutable distance and be available to work onsite at the customer’s discretion. This includes being on-site during the transition period. Must be based around Annapolis Junction, MD.
This position requires a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
7 years of experience working as a system admin on Linux or Red Hat systems is required. Related experience is acceptable.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
