very onlineYou’re comfortable writing clear, creative copy for a range of audiences, from early adopters to developers to normiesYou have top-notch writing and concepting skills, in formats including positioning statements, taglines, brand naming, social media, web copy, video scripts, and brand manifestosYou’re not shy about sharing your opinion with your team and clients (without being a jerk)About This Role:The copywriter will report to Creative Director Codi Hauka. You’ll be part of a team of editors, writers, strategists, designers, and account people tapped to work with one of the most influential companies in tech, on some of the most high-profile products they’re building. You’ll support a wide range of creative projects from ideation to execution, explaining complex (and
pretty
cool) tech to consumers and developers.In this role, you’ll be working closely with clients, ideating and pitching creative concepts, and executing across some of our most tech-forward creative projects. Knowing how to turn the dry and technical into something that jerks people out of their chairs will go a long way.Please note that we
don’t
do a lot of traditional ad campaigns. You’ll build your book here with super strategic work for a big buzzy brand, but if you’re looking to win a bunch of awards, this miiiight not be the right role for you.What You’ll Be Doing:Developing high-quality creative content across a range of formatsCollaborating with colleagues in Design, Account, and StrategyHoning your inner technology anthropologist to become an expert on your client’s audiencePitching on-trend (and ahead-of-the-trend!) creative ideasNavigating demanding turnaround schedules for high-stakes copyCollaborating with clients and product teams to develop copy that nails their key points and makes them go “wow” [insert Owen Wilson meme]Your Compensation:People — that’s you! — are the heart of our business, and we believe a culture of pay transparency benefits both Codeword and our team members’ careers.
