This role will work directly with product managers, Releasing Train Engineer, EE, and Firmware Engineers to set up the NPD technical approach, and hold the vision of critical field issue for the state-of-the-art electrical mechanical system. If you would like to be at the forefront of innovation as you contribute to creating and testing new products while continuously learning and shaping the future, please apply!This position will sit onsite full-time New Haven, CT, or Berlin, CT.What you will be doingAs a key member of the Embedded Solutions Architect team, this role provides comprehensive support for system setup involving hardware, firmware, software, and cloud connection. Collaborating closely with product managers, development engineering team and subject matter experts, this individual will contribute to both NPD and critical field issues for diverse technical challenges.Handle escalations from critical field issues by overseeing the Root Cause Analysis (8D) of EM-EAC (Electro-Mechanical- Electronic Access Controls) product, and stress analysis on proposed filed issue solutionsProvide the trade-off analysis for product managers and transfer the NPD product requirements to engineering specifications.Partner with project management and advise on the milestones of NPD products developmentDefine the interfaces between the mono discipline modules and transfer the technical approaches to from system level to EE, ME, FW, SW, ATE level.Screen new technologies and provide impact analysis to the AEGH engineering teamWhat we are looking forBachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent required.Minimum 5 years embedded system development with coding and electrical circuit design experiencesFamiliar with at least one programming language (such as Python, C, C++, Java, C#, Matlab), and one shell script such as (PowerShell, Bash) capabilitySolid understanding of common wireless standards, such as IEEE 802.11, IEEE 802.15.4, thread, matter, etc.Passionate about hands-on experience to set up hardware, firmware, and software systemsFamiliar with common hardware tools such as multimeter, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, WiFi protocol analyzer, and spectrum analyzerAbility and willingness to work between New Haven and Berlin, CT locations based on changing project needs and priorities.Preferred SkillsMaster’s degree or PhD in computer science, Electrical engineering, computer engineering or equivalent.Familiar with IoT cyber security standards and design practice for resource constraints environment RFC 9528Basic understanding of cryptography, such as advanced encryption standard and PKI.Familiar with enterprise network architectureWe are the ASSA ABLOY GroupOur people have made us the global leader in access solutions.
