Want to be part of the team building the finest property, casualty and specialty lines insurance company in the world?Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to facilitate all aspects of several major IT programs. The Project Manager is responsible for planning, facilitating, and supporting the execution of our business systems initiatives. The role will drive the execution of these projects with a focus on delivery, status tracking, issue identification and risk management.Duties & Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of projects with a high degree of complexity and confidentiality.Be accountable for project results along with the sponsor.Develop and maintain key project documents: project charter, scope, detailed work plans, timeline, issue log, status reports, Gantt charts, budgets, meeting agendas and meeting minutes.Actively engage with project team members to solicit their ideas, confirm expectations, communicate commitments and proactively drive the project forward.Act as a mediator and facilitate dialogue when the project hits roadblocks.Effectively manage project scope by ensuring changes are clearly defined, discussed, agreed to and documented.Prepare for, facilitate, document and actively follow up on action items from project meetings.Track and report on project milestones, solicit status from team members and provide a consolidated view of project status, schedule, risks and issues.Drive post-implementation assessment and lessons learned.Organize project deliverables and assets such that they can be re-used in the future.Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Minimum of three to five years’ experience leading and managing complex systems projects.Experienced in leading Waterfall and Agile software delivery models.Insurance business and Document Management & Workflow Systems experience is a plus. Proven ability to engage with senior management to elicit cooperation, capture complex ideas, probe for details and hold them accountable.Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task while balancing diverse priorities.Adept and eager to become engaged in a wide variety of business initiatives that require an understanding of diverse business, legal, compliance and technical topics.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at working in a matrix environment.Adept at rapidly responding to changes in priorities and deadlines.BHSI Offers:
