Avera St. Luke’s Hospital is looking for a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our Team!
This position may be eligible for a $10,000 sign on bonus with a 2 year commitment.
This position may be eligible for a Relocation Bonus if you reside 500 miles or greater from Aberdeen, SD.

Job Summary
- The Medical Laboratory Technician performs a variety of clinical laboratory tests, procedures and related duties.
- Utilizes scientific principles as well as technical, procedural, and problem-solving aptitudes for day-to-day laboratory technical operations, quality control, quality assurance, procedure/instrument maintenance and corrective action, test result correlation, and clinical laboratory related continuing education.
Education and/or Experience
- Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited two-year-college program or technical school is required.
- Six months to one year of related experience or training preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Certification as Medical Laboratory Technician from the ASCP, AMT, or equivalent required within 12 months of hire.
Work Schedule
- Varied Shift Schedule: 8 am - 6pm, 7:30 am - 4pm, Noon to 8pm or 2:30 pm to 11pm; May fill in on overnight shift from 7pm to 7am as needed
- Rotate every 3rd weekend/holiday
- Full Time; 72 hours every 2 weeks
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $22.00 - $31.75 per hour
