Pathology - Pediatric Physician

The UC Davis Health School of Medicine, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and the UC Davis Children s Hospital are seeking an academic research-intensive Pediatric Pathologist at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level in the Clinical (X) or Health Sciences Clinical Professor (HSCP) series. Clinical duties will chiefly involve pediatric pathology and pediatric autopsies. Teaching duties may include clinical, didactic, and small group teaching of housestaff and medical students, including interdisciplinary conferences to housestaff and faculty, and curriculum development in subspecialty areas.
Participation in the institution's research mission is expected, either as a collaborator or as an intellectual leader of clinically oriented research projects pertinent to the candidate s areas of expertise, and subspecialty training, depending on the academic series chosen for appointment. Successful candidates will identify a vision and strategy for developing a research program at UC Davis Health.
The proposed candidate will have multiple opportunities for collaboration within the UC Davis Health System, including close collaborations with expert hematopathologists, neuropathologists, bone and soft tissue pathologists, including outstanding clinicians and scientists throughout the UC Davis Health School of Medicine, UC Davis Children s Hospital, Shriner s Hospital for Children, Comprehensive Cancer Center, Maternal-Fetal Medicine Divison and fetal surgery programs, precision medicine program, MIND Institute, Institute for Regenerative Cures, Center for Comparative Medicine, School of Veterinary Medicine, and California National Primate Center.
