This position is located in Denver, Colorado and has a Monday through Friday, 8am - 4:30pm work schedule.

Position Overview:

As a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, you will be responsible for order fulfillment, shipping finished goods, tracking inventory and receiving raw materials into inventory. You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with DOT and IATA shipping regulations, while working in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA statements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare products for shipment either via a small package carrier or on a skid for an LTL/TL carrier based on specification from customer or MicroCare "best way" assessment.
  • Utilize UPS/Fed-Ex shipping software along with LTL shipping software to process shipments.
  • Pick product, based on work order instructions, from finished goods inventory, and advise Customer Relations of any issues with stock.
  • Prepare all materials to ship according to MicroCare standards and cGMP's.
  • Process incoming returns and ensure proper disposition of returned inventory.
  • Apply DOT and IATA shipping regulations and assign proper classification of materials based on shipment method.
  • Maintain accurate weights for documentation on work orders.
  • Receive products from vendors and verify accuracy of packing list.
  • Load and unload trucks as needed with powered forklifts.
  • Verify accuracy of inventory.
  • Ensure all personnel comprehend safety regulations according to OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain certification to serve as a trainer on all warehouse equipment.
  • Responsible to keep work areas neat and safe and communicate if any unsafe condition or activity exists.
  • Promote an incident free workplace by complying with safety policies and procedures and participating in company safety trainings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES/EXPERIENCE:
  • Prior shipping & receiving experience
  • Forklift experience
  • Knowledge of production processes
  • Goal oriented, able to work under pressure, prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent organization skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • 1+ year of shipping & receiving experience
  • Ability to operate all warehouse equipment, including standup and sit down forklifts
  • Proven ability to work independently
  • Must have basic math skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience shipping hazardous materials
  • Familiar with DOT and IATA shipping regulations
  • Train the trainer- Forklift Certification
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Lifting required of up to 70lbs unassisted and over 70lbs with lifting aides
  • Continuous reaching/working overhead
  • Frequently stands, walks, sits, climbs, pushes, pulls, and carries items
  • Work environment subject to seasonal temperature variations
