JW Floor Covering Inc. is seeking a Field Installation Manager, also known as a Quality Education Manager (QEM), to join our team. As a member of management, the QEM plays a vital role in ensuring the success of our flooring installations. This position focuses on providing field support and coaching to flooring installers, promoting quality workmanship, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and OSHA regulations. The QEM also interacts with customers during installations and conducts job site inspections for company installers and subcontractors.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Drive a company vehicle, maintaining a clean driving record. - Gas card allowance
- Safely and efficiently operate a forklift as needed.
- Oversee the AM dispatch of flooring crews, ensuring timely and efficient assignment to job sites.
- Assign flooring installers to projects based on their specific skill set and experience.
- Provide training to flooring installers on quality of work, safe work practices, and customer service standards.
- Conduct daily job site and safety inspections, ensuring all work adheres to company protocols and safety guidelines.
- The Branch Manager assigns other assignments.
Preferred Skills
- Previous management or foreman experience in the flooring industry.
- Skilled in flooring installation with hands-on experience in carpet, wood, laminate, vinyl, and tile.
- Forklift experience - training certification can be provided.
- OSHA 30 construction card - training can be provided.
- Proficient with computers, tablets, and smartphones for work-related tasks - cell phone allowance provided.
- Strong writing and communication skills for report writing and daily correspondence.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to identify and address issues promptly.
- Ability to resolve problems with sound judgment and professionalism.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to kneel, stoop, bend, and walk frequently.
