Locum Tenens Physician Opportunity Near Eielson AFB, AK Profession: Physician Specialty: Traumatic Brain Injury / General Medicine Start Date: ASAP - OngoingWe are seeking dedicated physicians for a locum tenens position involving a combination of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) exams. This opportunity allows you to work on a PRN basis, providing flexibility and the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient care. Position Details:* Rate Type: Daily* Emergency/Temp Privileges: No* Shift Type: Days* Shift Description:* PRN - as needed basis* Shifts TBD* Half day is 4 hours or less* Full day is 4-8 hoursWeekend Requirements:* Able to work weekends, if desired/neededOn Call Requirements:* N/AJob Responsibilities:* Perform a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury exams.* Conduct primarily interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments, including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing.* Use a Goniometer for physical assessments.* No prescribing or treatment involved.* Complete and submit standardized forms (DBQs) within 48 hours of exam completion.* Perform evaluations in the VES provider portal and review records as required.Requirements:* Certification: Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R* Experience: Familiarity with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required* Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.* Must own a personal laptop (No Apple Laptops/MACs)* Training: Provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)* DMA Certification: Available (can earn CME credits) - required once privileged if not already certifiedQualifications:* Strong background in General Medicine or experience with TBI exams preferred.* Excellent communication and documentation skills.* Empathy and dedication to patient care.* Ability to work independently and efficiently.Position Highlights:* Flexibility: Option to work half-days or full-days based on need.* Training and Support: Comprehensive training provided for all necessary evaluations and documentation.* Certification Opportunities: Obtain DMA certification and earn CME credits.* Impactful Work: Play a critical role in evaluating and diagnosing conditions, ensuring thorough and accurate assessments.Why Join Us?* Flexible Scheduling: Work on a PRN basis with the ability to choose your hours.* Professional Growth: Gain valuable experience in a specialized field with opportunities for certification and CME credits.* Supportive Environment: Comprehensive training and a supportive team to help you succeed.* Meaningful Impact: Make a difference by providing essential health evaluations and supporting patient care.Job ID:* j-237243This is a fantastic opportunity for physicians with a background in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or PM&R to engage in impactful work with a flexible schedule.
