We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine physician for a locum tenens position in southeastern Ohio. Join a dynamic healthcare team in a busy emergency department, offering consistent work and a competitive hourly rate.Position Overview:* Location : Near Junction City, OH* Position : Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician* Shifts : Varied, primarily 8 PM 8 AM, including weekends* Patient Volume : 25-35 patients per day on average* Annual ED Volume : Approximately 30,000* Start Date : November 1, 2024* Length of Assignment : Ongoing, 5+ shifts per month* Licensing Requirements : Must hold an active Ohio state license (IMLC not accepted)* Certifications Required : ABMS/AOA Board Certification, NRP, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS* Experience Required : Minimum of 2 years recent experienceKey Responsibilities:* Provide comprehensive emergency care, managing a range of acute conditions* Work collaboratively with mid-level providers, particularly during night shifts and weekends* Manage patient documentation independently using EPIC EMR system* Respond to all ED codes; handle transfers for trauma cases to tertiary care centers* Provide exceptional patient care in a non-trauma, free-standing emergency departmentAdditional Details:* No on-call requirements* Travel and lodging arranged by the employer* Medical staff fees reimbursed after completion of the first shift* Shift focus: Nights and weekendsIf you are a skilled Emergency Medicine physician looking for locum opportunities in Ohio, this could be the ideal position for you.
