Malpractice coverage included.POSITION SUMMARYTo provide care to patients and to supervise Nurse Practitioners in the delivery of psychiatric medication management to patients in skilled nursing facilities.QUALIFICATIONSEducation / Training:Medical Degree from an accredited School of Medicine.Completed Residency or Fellowship in Psychiatry.Licensure / Certification:Licensed or eligible to practice medicine in New York.Board Certified or Board Eligible as Practicing PsychiatristCurrent NY Drivers LicenseKnowledge and Skills:Knowledge of appropriate assessment and evaluation tools and tests, diagnoses, & interventions with patients.Strong skills in medication management.Ability to work with nursing staff in collaborative approach to care.Ability to utilize EMR system to prepare and maintain appropriate medical record documentation.
