Full-Time Urgent Care Physician Opportunity – South of Boston

Harbor Medical Associates (HMA), part of the Mass General Brigham community division, is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible (BC/BE) Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, or Internal Medicine/Pediatric physician for a full-time position covering our Urgent Care Centers in South Weymouth and Pembroke, MA—just 30 minutes south of Boston. Full-time applicants are preferred, but part-time opportunities are also available.

This role offers the opportunity to apply your acute care skills in a fast-paced setting, treating patients aged six months and older with a wide range of medical needs, including treatment of patients with complex medical conditions and procedures such as lacerations, incision and drainage of abscesses, and fracture stabilization.

About the Role:

  • Team composition includes MDs, NPs, and PAs.
  • Goal of three providers per location per day.
  • Providers see 2-3 patients per hour on average.
  • Advanced support staff includes two medical assistants and one nurse per shift, enabling advanced care.
  • Access to same-day CT scans, labs, X-rays, and ultrasounds at both locations
  • Schedule template:
    • Weekdays: 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. (10-hour shifts, rotating start times: 8 a.m., 9 a.m., or 10 a.m.)
    • Weekends: Saturday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Sunday 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. (1:3 weekend rotation).
  • Closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. Holiday shifts are divided equitably.
  • Preference for candidates available on Fridays.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Board-certified/board-eligible in Emergency Medicine, Med/Peds, or Family Medicine.
  • Emergency Department experience or Urgent Care experience preferred but not required.
  • Comfortable managing higher-acuity cases in an outpatient setting.
  • Enjoys collaborating and mentoring in a team-based care environment.
