The HVAC Injection Mold Tooling Intern will work with Mahle Injection Molding Process Engineers at the Lockport manufacturing / R&D facility.
Internship is May – August 2025.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & *
* Assist Tooling Engineers with PPAP tasks Develop manufacturing documentation and
review injection mold tool designs as required Evaluate and summarize inspection reports for corrective actions High level computer skills required Some travel within the United States (to Dayton) may be required Assist with assembly line support as required to evaluate fit issues with plastic cases High level of analytical and problem-solving skills Participate in meetings, seminars, and training sessions as needed to learn processes and developments in the manufacturing of MAHLE product Confer with established personnel to implement standard operating procedures and trouble-shoot problems with injection mold tooling and/ or processes Prepare reports concerning departmental activities as required Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word applications software is necessary for this position holder May operate machine tools / produce product Perform other assignments as instructed by Department Management ***** ***** Currently enrolled at an accredidated 4 year university***** Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or Plastics Technical curriculum Class ***** Srart of Junior or Senior Year preferred***** CAD 3D Modeling, as well as exposure / experience with AutoCAD, Unigraphics or Solid Works preferred***** previous internships a plusAbility to investigate and talk w engineers to gather informationAbility to travel 1-2 weeks to Dayton, OH w an employee
