Position SummarySeeking an experienced professional to serve as the Director of Information Technology (IT), who will assume a pivotal role in developing and executing IT strategy in alignment with their mission. The Director of IT is responsible for overseeing the technology, maintenance, networking, security, and overall stability of information systems 24/7.
This position requires ongoing research of technology, security, and healthcare trends, along with the implementation of new technology, risk management strategies, and best practices to increase company efficiencies. The Director of IT must have a strong understanding of the technology needs and cybersecurity vulnerabilities faced by the organization. This is a versatile position, requiring strong business acumen, personnel management, and project management skills, along with close collaboration with Executive Management, Business and Directors/Managers, along with facility partners, consultants, contractors, and vendors. This role will serve as a strategic advisor to Executive Management on technology trends and opportunities.
General Duties & ResponsibilitiesOversee all aspects of information technology, hardware, and software applicationsOversee a growing team of IT professionals and responsive 24/7 Service Desk operationsOversee the design, development, and implementation of IT policies and proceduresPlan, manage, and implement Information Security (INFOSEC) policy, risk and information governance, vulnerability management and routine assessmentsImplement and oversee a structured Risk Management (RA) programMaintain organizational effectiveness and efficiency by defining and delivering strategic plans for implementing information technologies and business processesResponsible for implementing routine and ongoing training of company users, along with engagement in educational programs such as cybersecurity awareness training; provide guidance regarding industry best practices and regulatory requirementsEnsure the overall security and protection of all Company data, and electronicProtected Health Information (ePHI) in accordance with HIPAA regulationsIdentify problematic areas within IT infrastructure and implement strategic solutionsPreserve all digital and physical assets by implementing disaster recovery, file integrity and back-up procedures, information security and control structuresEstablish and sustain positive, collaborative working relationships with company staff and 3 rd parties (healthcare facilities, vendors, contractors, and consultants)Organize and lead regular meetings with company staff and 3 rd parties; offer feedback based on INN business operations, processes, experience, and riskDeliver documentation and reports on implemented IT solutionsStay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and technical developmentsOversee annual IT budget and report to VP of Finance & Executive ManagementAdhere to HIPAA HITRUST guidelines and regulatory requirementsAvailable 24/7 for in the event of mission-critical or patient care emergencies
