This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional internal teams, including sales, marketing, product development, operations, and quality, as well as with external customers and channel partners. The AE team provides comprehensive pre-sales and post-sales support across Luminus' visible product portfolio, including LEDs and lasers. Key Duties/Responsibilities: Provide expert technical support to Luminus customers, addressing field application issues, system performance troubleshooting, system solutions design-in support, and ECO-system partner management in collaboration with the sales organization. Create highly effective technical collateral in cooperation with the product marketing team, including application notes, white papers, PowerPoint training modules, performance calculators, Help Center articles, and reference designs that demonstrate the value proposition and competitive advantage of Luminus products for target applications. Support the marketing team by conducting competitive advantage analysis to strengthen sales efforts. Collaborate with Marketing to shape product definitions by proposing innovative solutions based on customer feedback and specific use cases. Collaborate with sales and marketing to define technical training sessions for Luminus sales teams and channel partners. Idealize customer demo builds that effectively promote key features and benefits of our products. Guide internal cross-functional teams responsible for LED characterization, competitive analysis, and failure analysis. Assist in the RMA process by evaluating if the customer's application conditions surpass the data sheet specifications. Generate design files required for customer design activities. Minimum Qualification Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering Subject. At least 7 years of direct experience in LED product development, project management, or application support. Proven working knowledge of LED die, packaging, system-level designs, LED quality/process validation, and technical aspects of LED lighting products, including thermal, electrical drivers, and optics. Systems expertise to understand and address system needs and requirements. Creative problem-solving skills for challenging technical issues. Excellent technical writing skills , with attention to detail in authoring technical documentation and presentations. Successful track record in working with dynamic international teams across time zones. Self-motivated with a successful history of working with cross-functional teams. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally. Excellent communication and presentation skills , with strong abilities to lead customer engagements at the engineering level. Independently driven , capable of multitasking and delivering assigned tasks on time. Organized and analytical , capable of overcoming obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches. Ability to facilitate cross-functional meetings , issue minutes, and drive actions to closure. Proven experience and skills using Excel, Word, Outlook, Project Management, PowerPoint, and Teams. Willingness to travel (20% of the time). Additional Desired Qualification/Experience: Prior experience in the general illumination, specialty or automotive lighting markets. Experience with optical test equipment , such as Everfine, Ocean Optics, and Instrument Systems. Familiarity with programs like Zendesk, SAP-CRM, Omnify, Asana, Confluence, and Atlassian-Jira. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, SPICE, and AutoCAD. Conversational proficiency in Mandarin .
