Position Summary:The AV Technician will be joining a highly successful and functional Entertainment/ AV team that supports the needs of Graton Resort and Casino. This position is responsible for the repair, installation, and preventive maintenance of all Audio Visual and Low Voltage equipment and systems with the purpose of creating the best possible guest experience. This role assists in the setup, operation, and striking of live events, as well as supporting third party vendors needed to successfully operate an event.
Essential Functions:1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.2. Monitor and adjust sound levels and music programming across the property, including casino floor, hotel, Spa, and back of house areas.3. Install, operate, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on A/V equipment such as 70V speaker systems, Digital Signal Processors, Television displays, video walls, projectors, signage displays, video distribution systems, distributed antenna systems, and dimming systems.4. Setup, assist, and operate A/V equipment for live events including microphones, speakers, audio mixers and lightings.5. Assist third-party resources that may be required to support an event, such as sound and lightingengineers.6. Help identify and escalate potential problems pertaining to A/V system performance, support, andreliability, as well as suggest solutions to help solve system issues.7. Perform installation and repairs of low voltage category cabling, fiber, optic cabling, communicationscabling, and coaxial cabling.8. Monitor, operate and repair a variety of lighting dimming systems including Electronic Theater Controland Crestron Dimming.9. Receive and respond to incoming calls, pages, and/or e-mails regarding A/V software/hardwareproblems.10. Help maintain A/V and Low Voltage equipment inventory, ensuring that commonly used items forrepairs and installation are in stock and available.11. Be familiar with OSHA safety codes regarding Audio Visual and Low Voltage infrastructures.12. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written andverbal form.2. Requires the availability for all shift and hours to support live entertainment events.3. Strong experience with Audio Visual and Low Voltage technologies, willing to meet the 24-hourdemands of a successful Hotel-Casino operation.4. Has a passion for the Audio Visual and Low Voltage field, being able to learn new technologies in arapidly evolving industry.5. Minimum of one (1) years' experience with commercial Audio-Visual experience with technologies.CTS, Crestron, and industry related manufacture certifications are a plus.6. Experience with Low Voltage infrastructure, tools and related test equipment. Be familiar with commonpractices with running or extending Low Voltage infrastructure.7. Experience in AV systems installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting/maintenance.8. Working knowledge of Audio DSP units.9. Understanding of signal flow in both audio and video installations.10. Experience using digital multi-meters, toning, and/or testing cables.11. Electrical and a strong understanding of IP/networking skills are an advantage.12. Must be at least 21 years of age.13. Physical Requirements:1. Requires the physical ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.2. Manual dexterity to operate hand and foot controls.3. May require prolonged standing. Requires bending, stooping, reaching from floor level. Requirescrawling in attic areas, climbing ladders and stairs.4. May require lifting, transporting, pushing, pulling and maneuvering large loads weighing up to 75pounds with or without assistance.5. Requires hand/eye coordination and depth perception.
Work Conditions:Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain secondhand smoke.Work may be performed in small areas with a 3 ft. wide access. Tasks performed from a sitting or nonsittingposition. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pullingand grasping. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned area. Work may entail trainedchemical usage. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests.
