WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
As a key member of the Events & Retail team, you will report directly to the Director of Global Creative and Production Procurement. You will work closely with peers across the procurement team, collaborators and leaders across multiple business lines in support of services sourcing needs. This role provides the Category Lead the opportunity to interact, present, and influence Nike senior leadership to gain support for key initiatives and strategies.

We are actively recruiting for a Category Lead, Events & Retail, who will be a part of a dynamic, high performing team of sourcing professionals supporting Nike's strategic initiatives. They will be a trusted member of a global team tasked with building trusting and meaningful relationships with senior executives across multiple initiatives and business units. We are looking for problem-solving entrepreneurs to join the Marketing & Events Procurement team. We need adaptable doers who are great at engaging with stakeholders, flexible and fast multi-taskers, and who possess a true total cost of ownership philosophy.Advanced sourcing in Marketing Categories8+ years marketing procurement experience preferredCPM Certification a plusDemonstrated capability to use data to make business decisionsExperience with cross-collaborating to define and advance shared vision resulting in actionable strategies and prioritiesMust be able to maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive informationMust be exceptionally details-oriented, independent and able to successfully manage multiple concurrent project demands within established timelinePossess a positive attitude, excellent communication and analytical skillsProactive, result oriented with a can-do attitude in meeting critical deadlinesBachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or trainingWHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
This person will be responsible for developing and driving global category strategies across Events & Retail categories. Understands the business/company requirements to improve value and partners with key stakeholders. This includes driving the end-to-end Sourcing process, crafting and leading category strategies, spend and market analysis, running RFx's, negotiating contracts and pricing and supplier relationship management.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to align category sourcing strategies and resources with business objectives and project requirementsNegotiate best possible pricing, concessions, and other Ts and Cs to meet savings and spend expectationsNegotiate, draft/redline governing agreements, work orders other contract documentsPartner with cross-functional partners such as privacy, legal, risk, compliance, security as applicable to conduct due diligenceLeverage data to evaluate additional category sourcing opportunities and implement sourcing pipeline to drive commercial value for the organizationConduct thorough market analysis and research to stay abreast of trends, emerging technologies, supplier capabilities and competitive landscapes to develop a market POVStay on top of industry standards and trends related to responsibilitiesFoster strong, trusting relationships with stakeholders and business partners globallyDevelop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure a competitive advantage in the market, assurance of supply and operational cost-effectivenessManage and develop key suppliers using SRM tools and industry best practicesMeasure and monitor progress and ensure savings and performance targets are achieved
