Maximum salary upon new hire is $60,491 Working Hours and/or Working Conditions: Job responsibilities may require work to be performed at multiple campuses, necessitating inter-building/campus travel. Will be required, from time to time, to work on days and at times outside the normal work schedule, which may include evenings and weekend hours. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong understanding of IAM concepts, including authentication, authorization, zero-trust and identity lifecycle management. Strong knowledge of IAM tools and technologies, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, application security techniques, security incident management procedures and supporting information security tools. Knowledgeable of various network protocols, topologies, operating systems (specifically Linux and Windows). Strong vendor management skills. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to resolve complex problems without guidance, to organize, prioritize, and work both independently and within a group. Demonstrated ability to identify, present, explain, promote and clarify specialized technical solutions, ideas, requests and procedures using written and oral communications. Responsibilities include forensics, log reviews and information gathering/reports that may expose the employee to private, confidential and highly sensitive information not accessible by others. The employee must be able to fully uphold the confidentiality of these records and not use that knowledge in a manner that violates the privacy of others or biases judgment, outcomes, or interpretations of that information in any way. Supervision: SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Senior Information Security Analyst. SUPERVISION GIVEN: May supervise full and part-time employees as assigned. Job Function Provide a wholistic approach to identity and access management based on role-based access principles, continuous assessment and revocation of unnecessary user privileges across all of the College's on-premises and SaaS applications. Conduct electronic discovery and digital forensic investigations under the highest levels of confidentiality and neutrality. Job Responsibilities Administration of user authentication/identity and authorization management, which may include use of external contracted resources. Manage the lifecycle of digital identities, including provisioning, de-provisioning, and access reviews. Manage and maintain the identity verification system for staff, contractor and student accounts (including international and corporate students) Provide support and training to end-users on IAM-related issues. Monitor the security event management system/MDR incident reports, Microsoft 365 and Active Directory activity/access/security logs. Recommend mitigation changes to ensure compliance with the IT security controls set forth in the College's IT security policies. Assist in the development of procedures and monitoring practices to protect hardware, software, and information resources of the College from unauthorized access, tampering, or physical damage. Implement a zero-trust access management strategy where practical, especially on accounts of privileged access. Support project implementation by supplying technical consultation and implementing technology per agreed to schedules. Execute remediation plans to address security vulnerabilities. Under the direction of the College's General Counsel, VP of HR and law enforcement officials when applicable, conduct electronic discovery, digital forensic investigations and investigations of employee access to the College's computer systems. Reports, analysis and findings must be accurate, performed without bias and remain confidential. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices by attending relevant conferences, formal technical training and referencing current industry materials/publications. Perform related duties as assigned. Education Associate degree in Information Technology or higher, or proven competency through certification required. Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate certification required within 6 months of position start. Qualifications Three years' experience in IAM analyst role, or a related IT security role required. Working knowledge of U.S. security and privacy laws (FERPA, HIPAA, GLBA, Social Security Privacy Act, PCI) and IT security frameworks (such as CIS or NIST) required.
