JOB TITLE:
Inventory Specialist (Non-Exempt)
DEPARTMENT:

REPORTING TO:
Inventory Manager
PRIMARY FUNCTION OF POSITION:
An Inventory Specialist will process RMA (Return Material Authorization) and DMR (Defective Material Return) orders with Vendors or Suppliers. Also maintain inventory with cycle counts, data system entry, as well and yearly inventory duties. Complete other duties as directed.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:Will be point of contact for Supplier and Vendors when dealing with suspect product.Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.Receives credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supplies code and lot number and quantity; placing materials in stock.Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.Documents product shipment by recording units shipped. Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; making operator repairs.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School diploma or GED.Must possess Leadership and Management skills.Must possess problem solving skills.Must know how to take initiative.Must have the ability to lead and work in cross functional teams.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must be able to walk, sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.Candidate must be able to lift up to at least 25 pounds.
