OverviewPosition Summary: Performs a broad array of Image management functions to support the departments that rely on imaging studies and reports across the D-H Health system. Functions include registration, scheduling, using various Information Systems to ingest of images and reports and anonymization and de-identification. Assist Radiology IT in with support with system issues. Responsible for all Radiology release of information (ROI) requests in compliance with D-HH policies, state and federal regulations. May develop and document applicable processes and be responsible for data management and reporting. Provides or assists with project coordination for assigned special projects. Works independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Work independently through exceptions lists in PACS to ensure timely cleanup of exceptions in the PACS system.QA and work through the process of the de-identification process and de-identified images with the de-identification team.Independently coordinates, fulfills, monitors, and prioritizes imaging work queues, from multiple sources (e.g. phone, in-person, and other technologies), using various systems to ensure timely and accurate distribution of incoming information to assist in the delivery for high quality patient care.Proactively identifies, troubleshoots, triages problems (e.g. technology, work lists, patient information, etc.) and provides documented solutions, following standard protocols, to continuously improve Imaging processes.Provides front-line customer service to stakeholders (e.g. greeting, directing, registering, sharing relevant information / documentation, etc.) in accordance with team and organizational guidelines to ensure D-H is capturing critical information while honoring Federal and State regulations.Demonstrates understanding of the technical aspects of assigned applications, as well as applicable operational details and work flows and provides system support.Uses imaging and technology expertise (e.g., Radiology Information System (RIS), Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (PACS), etc.) and other systems and tools to facilitate accurate and timely interpretation and dissemination of imaging studies.Acts as a coach to other departments and users concerning image sharing and distribution in and out of the Enterprise systems they are in, compliance, with system policies around security, privacy and other areas of compliance.Participates in the development, testing and follow-up evaluation of system design and projects.Assists departments in imaging sharing applications system management functions. Work with IT teams to ensure the effective maintenance of security for all applications supported.Uses imaging and technology expertise (e.g. Radiology Information System (RIS), Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (PACS), etc.) to facilitate accurate and timely interpretation and dissemination of imaging studies. Acts as a coach to other users of imaging throughout the system to facilitate optimal patient care and transitions.Facilitates the clinical communication between Radiologists and ordering providers to ensure clinical practice and American College of Radiology guidelines are met.Capture requests with the detail for escalation to the Radiology IT team and be an onsite liaison for Radiology IT after hours.Functions as liaison with other IS areas and maintains project tracking information.Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with two years of relevant work experience or the equivalent is preferred.Medical terminology preferred.Area of Interest:
