Position Summary
The Application Systems Analyst is responsible for modeling the Compassus values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation and for promoting the Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of Success as the foundation. S/he is responsible for upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct and for promoting positive working relationships within the company, among all departments, and all external stakeholders. S/he actively participates in and supports the design, configuration, testing, and support of the application lifecycle.
Position Specific ResponsibilitiesProvides escalation support to members of the IT team for application system and business process support.Meets with the Director of Applications and functional leaders across the company to understand upcoming objectives and determines best system processes, system integrations, or custom enhancement needs, accordingly.Configures systems to meet business and system requirements defined by the company.Participates in the following aspects of the application lifecycle: design, configuration, testing, go-live, and support.Oversees small, and intermediate projects. Works under timelines and communicates project status to the leader.Guides end users through troubleshooting procedures; develops troubleshooting scripts and solution documents for the help desk.Researches complex system issues and coordinates with leaders, functional leaders, and/or vendors to identify and resolve issues or create acceptable interim state workflows until a resolution is in place.Assists in the configuration and implementation of system and business process changes.Documents system workflows and processes.Assists in the creation and maintenance of training materials.Supports conducting user training of application systems.Assists with upgrade installation and testing including working with users for user acceptance testing.Aids in communication with end users specific to new functionality, upgrades, and systems issues.Monitors and reports system performance or issues to the leader.Performs other duties as assigned.Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in related field highly desired.At least three (3) to five (5) years of related experience strongly preferred. An equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.Homecare Homebase (HCHB) experience strongly preferred.Healthcare experience preferred.Skills
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, team members, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications.Other Skills and Abilities:
Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces hospice philosophy.
